ZUCRE

AUGUST 26 is the day. Hmmmmm 26. Do you guys remember what's with 26? It's actually our day!!! Most of the time, we always go out for our monthsary. And this time, we're here at this pretty place :>

Just across Parkmall Mandaue is City Times Square. First thing you'll see would probably be the 7/11 convenience store. But other than that, it's also where Cafe Namoo, Ice Giants, Lechon Belly, Tokyo Table and many other food stores are located (and Liv Superclub too).

SECOND FLOOR is the place. That's where you'll see 'Zucre'. We arrived about 12NN. There were students and oldies in the store. Students were just doing their small talks (about their school intramurals) while the oldies were talking about business (I think). It's a nice mix. And the place was fit for both concerns.

Ohhh, not just for both. 'Coz WE came. Badz and I were actually dating. We were sitting side by side but there are times I need to transfer to the seat across Badz so she can do her work. Baby was making her Design plate that was to be passed at the end of the week (I owe her a reward after passing the plate).

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKED LIKE (FROM OUR SEAT)

Neutrals ahhh :>

Now, here's the exciting part. Zucre's menu is very budget-friendly. Cakes are affordable as well as the frappes. There are a lot of choices as well.

You'll never believe these mini s'mores just cost 10php each.

WHAT WE HAD:

Badz picked that Choco Java Chip Frappe (Idk if name is right xD we forgot).
I chose the Lasagna since I'm really on the process of finding the best Lasagna in town (And Zucre's tastes really good for only 85php).
We shared that mini s'mores.

Obligatory selfie, as usual. Dark-colored faces from outing last Aug.24 :>

Everything's still worth it with you babe! :*

HAPPY 11 MONTHS OF BEING TOGETHER! <3

Cafe Caw

So, yeah, Hiii! This is Bam :) Baby just recently added me to be an author of this blog ;) Thanks Babe!

Moving forward, here's another food adventure Badz and I had.
We've been wanting to come here. But we've just had time last August 15. And this was unplanned.

ORIGINAL PLAN that night: Go to SM before 9:30PM to watch last full show of the movie 'Lucy'.

WHAT HAPPENED: Both of us left home at 9:00PM already. Still on the jeepney at 9:20PM. Jeepney stopped in the middle of Tipolo's road 'coz something has to be fixed. Arrived at SM at 9:45PM and ticket booth just closed. Well, of course, we weren't able to watch the movie.

WHAT WE DID: Went to Penshoppe. Badz picked a black polo shirt and I bought a turquoise v-neck t-shirt. After that, nothing else was left to do.

So then we decided to visit CAFE CAW and do what we love most: EATING SWEETS!

   WHAT WE HAD:

Badz chose to have a brownie cup (brownie + ice cream on top) and the raspberry iced tea. That chocolate cake is mine. And the bottled water (char.)

   Obligatory selfie. Yes.

And this was my favorite picture of the day. Baby got my purse. She saw that polaroid picture that Ver gave us :) Badz always looks good on pictures you know, ALWAYS! And this is just way too cute <3 One of my all-time favorites :>

Brique

This restaurant opened last August 19, 2014, Tuesday. I knew about in Facebook so I suppose I should salute them for good advertising!
My girlfriend and I agreed to come and visit this place which is; amazingly, located just next to Pizza Republic! It made it easier for us to locate the place. The outstanding facade would immediately give you a hint that this is no ordinary restaurant.

THE PLACE
The place is what I hoped it to be. Wood and concrete; modern. I love how they stacked their wines, very creative. The menus hanged on the counter are quite creative as well! I've been told that a student from CAFA made it. I wouldn't be surprised because students from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts are truly amazing people. I am from CAFA (proud).

THE FOOD
My girlfriend and I, we are the kind of couple who eats desserts more than the main meal. So, we tried out some of the desserts listed on their menu.

S'mores!
I admire how they presented this dessert. They placed the brownie inside a cute little pan, topped it with the marshmallows and flamed it. The biscuit on the side, clever ;)

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake
Pretty sure that's not how they called this dessert but this too is delicious!

Cafe Namoo

A lot of cafe's have been popping out from everywhere and this cafe is one of them. After a while the Cafe Noriter opened (I have never been there), this cafe opened and to my surprise, people would say that they have the same menu and ambiance. Post-its and colored pens are provided by the cafe so you can leave a message about how your experience in the place was.

THE PLACE
Honestly, the place is very attractive especially to big groups of customers. Table are separated as if you're on top of your double deck- bed. I can tell that a lot of people visit here because of the experience you get from visiting.

THE FOOD
They serve more kinds and types of drinks than food but their products are truly delightful.

Pizza Republic "Pick + Mix" by Giuseppe Genco

Who doesn't love pizza? No one! Few weeks after the opening of the pizza house, my girlfriend and I just did not want to miss the newest, most visited place in town, Pizza Republic. Who wouldn't want to try this create-your-own-pizza concept and feel like a professional chef? I want, and so does my baby girl.

It was past dinner but the place was still full. We're hungry and excited but it did not stop us from getting what we wanted. We waited for around 5 minutes after we were able to find a vacant table and it took us a little longer than we hoped but we knew it was all going to be worth it.

There are three easy steps to order:
1. Fall in line patiently
2. Pick your own ingredients
Tip: You might want to "overdo" your pizza;)
3. Pay

Oh, and wait PATIENTLY:)

THE PLACE
I really love how they did their interiors. It looked like a clean garage (my kind of design) with a little brutalist touch. The paintings on the walls look pretty awesome too!

THE FOOD
Just like what I said, "you might want to overdo your pizza (para sulit imong kwakrta)", my girlfriend did a really good job with that.

So she had her pizza mixed with a lot of meat, chicken, I tasted sardine (I think), onions, egg on the center, mushrooms, bacon, pepperoni, ham and the usual pizza ingredients. She's the meaty person.

I asked her to make my pizza so, she had the staff mix the very same ingredients that she have in her pizza to my pizza except there were tomatoes and bell pepper because she says I'm the vegetarian.
so this is a close- up of my pizza

We ordered a whole for each of us because we thought we were hungry enough to finish one whole pizza (10") No problem! Pwede take out!

To our luck, Michelle Gumabao (Pbb ex-housemate) together with her volleyball team playing for Air Asia was there. We were even lucky enough to take a selfie with her!
sorry babe, natabunan ka :)

HOW TO GET THERE?
I hope this map helped! Comments? ;)

Dessert Factory

This place is common to all sweet- tooth's out there but I would just like to share about our experience here.

Once, I was invited over to a friend's birthday celebration at Dessert Factory in Ayala, and because I'm pinoy, of course, I came late (for a reasonable excuse: class). When I arrived, my friends were already eating their own desserts and they're half- way done with their food so I decided not to order anymore. Luckily, they ordered a cake which we can all share. At least, I still have something to eat ;)

Jimelle, a friend offered me to taste the cake she bought. It really wasn't a cake though, it was sliced like one but I'm pretty sure it wasn't. So, I ate some and then made a promise to myself that I am going to go back here and order this dessert for myself!

SO I DID!

"Pistashew" Ice cream Cake

Chocolate Monster Cake

Chocolate and Caramel Frappe's

My girlfriend never tried this dessert house so I brought her along with me:) I ordered the Pistashew (Its weird because of the spelling). It is actually an ice cream cake topped with chocolate syrup and some nuts. The Chocolate Monster cake is definitely a best- seller. I know because I saw three other people order it.
